How Rankemo checks compatibility

Each part on Rankemo carries one of three labels for each bike generation. Here is exactly what each one is based on.

✓ Verified

A published source directly connects the part, its reference or its documented specifications to the bike model and generation shown. “Verified” describes documentary evidence. It does not mean that Rankemo physically tested the part.

? Probably compatible

The available evidence points to a match, but does not directly confirm every model, generation, connector or specification. Check the reference and connector with the seller before ordering.

✕ Incompatible

A source or a documented technical difference indicates that the part does not fit the bike or generation shown.

Sources

Every compatibility decision links to the source used and shows when it was last checked. A manufacturer manual may be hosted on a third-party document service, so the website hosting a file does not by itself determine the nature of the source. Some original pages may later be removed, especially for discontinued brands.

Part numbers

A matching part number or SKU can support a compatibility decision, but it is one piece of evidence rather than a separate kind of source.

Owner reports

Owner reports are displayed separately from documentary compatibility. They do not automatically change a status. Conflicting reports are placed in a review queue and require additional evidence.

Safety notices

A documented physical fit does not override a safety warning. Parts under a stop-use or recall notice remain identifiable on Rankemo, but are not presented as purchase options.

If you find a mistake

Tell us which part and which bike, and what you saw. Use the report link on any part, or write to contact@rankemo.com. Corrections are made against sources, not opinions, so a link to what you are looking at helps more than anything else.
